Aluminum profile processing is a complex and delicate process that requires strict control over the quality and process parameters of each link. So, what issues should be noted when processing aluminum profiles?
1、 Temperature control
Cooling before stretching: Before stretching the aluminum profile, its temperature must be cooled to below 50 degrees. If the temperature is too high, it is not only easy to burn the operator, but also may cause incomplete failure of the internal stress of the aluminum profile, leading to material distortion and other problems.
2、 Stretch control
Stretching limit: When stretching aluminum profiles, the stretching amount should be strictly controlled within 1%. Excessive stretching can cause significant errors in the tail size of the material, reduce the elongation rate of the material, and make the material brittle, thereby affecting the plasticity and overall quality of the aluminum profile.
3、 Stress condition attention
Uniform stress distribution: During the processing, special attention should be paid to the stress conditions at the edges, openings, or viewpoints of the material. Prevent deformation and spiral problems of the profile caused by uneven processing stress.
4、 Uniform heating and heat dissipation
Flip processing: For aluminum profiles used for surface decoration, attention should be paid to flipping them up and down during the processing to ensure uniform heating and heat dissipation of the entire profile. This helps reduce the possibility of horizontal bright spots on the material surface, especially for profiles with larger areas, which should be paid more attention to.Aluminum Extrusions.

5、 Mold Design and Use
Mold gap and blade design: When designing molds, the characteristics of aluminum material being soft and prone to clogging should be considered, and the mold gap and blade depth should be reasonably set. Generally speaking, it is advisable to place a gap of 10% thickness between the two sides of the mold, with a straight depth of 2MM for the cutting edge and a taper of 0.8-1 °.
Mold cleaning and maintenance: Molds are prone to accumulate aluminum shavings and debris during use, and need to be cleaned regularly to ensure product quality, especially during stamping production, where both the top and bottom of the mold must be cleaned and free of debris.
6、 Heat treatment and cleaning packaging
Timeliness of heat treatment: Whether producing ordinary profiles or Industrial Aluminum Profiles, the temperature inside the furnace should be controlled within the specified range, and after holding at this temperature for a certain period of time, it should be taken out for cooling. After heat treatment, the product quality should be checked in a timely manner.
Clean packaging: For products that have passed quality inspection, they should be cleaned and packaged in a timely manner. The packaging should be strictly standardized to ensure that collisions and scratches do not occur during transportation.
7、 Precautions for stamping production
Stamping sequence: In stamping production, if it does not affect the number of projects, punching should be arranged at the back of the project as much as possible. For products with a large number of punching, additional projects can be considered to optimize the production process.
Anti pressure and scratch: Aluminum material is relatively soft, and it is prone to top, pressure, and scratch problems during stamping. Special attention should be paid to mold design, cleaning of the stamping machine table, and the cleanliness of the production line.
