The production of aluminum profiles by extrusion is a metal saving and highly efficient method, but it is influenced by many factors. (1) Section size
 
The cross-sectional size of the profile is measured by the circumcircle, and the larger the circumcircle, the greater the required extrusion force; Normally, the maximum outer circle of aluminum profiles that can be extruded on each extruder is not fixed and is related to the diameter of the extrusion cylinder;
 
(2) The complexity of cross-sectional shape
 
According to the cross-sectional shape of aluminum profiles, they can be divided into three categories: solid profiles, semi hollow profiles, and hollow profiles;
 
(3) Squeezing coefficient
 
It is important to choose a reasonable extrusion coefficient in order to achieve a certain degree of deformation while avoiding difficulty in extrusion;
 
(4) Aluminum profile wall thickness
 
The minimum wall thickness of a specific aluminum profile depends on factors such as the diameter of the outer circle of the profile, alloy composition, and shape; The wall thickness is related to the ease of extrusion of the alloy;

(5) Design of Surrounding Space Area
 
In terms of the cross-sectional shape of aluminum profiles, the area where three sides are surrounded and one side is open is called the spatial area. From the perspective of the mold, this space is a cantilever beam. When the cantilever beam is thin and deep, the mold damage rate increases, and it is even difficult to extrude it. Even if it can be extruded, it is difficult to extrude qualified aluminum profile products;
 
(6) Corner radius between right angles
 
The transition radius on protruding right angles is important. When the radius is too small, stress concentration will occur on the mold, while concave right angles are prone to wear at the entrance of the mold hole;
 
(7) Section size tolerance of aluminum profiles
 
The tolerance of cross-sectional dimensions should be determined based on the machining allowance, usage conditions, difficulty of extrusion, alloy grade, and shape of the aluminum profile. Generally, it is specified in relevant technical standards or drawings provided by the user; For certain aluminum profiles that are difficult to extrude, the shape can be changed, or the process allowance and dimensional tolerance can be increased to reduce the difficulty of extrusion. The extruded aluminum profile products that approximate the requirements can be extruded, and then shaped or processed to the desired shape and size;
 
(8) Other design elements
 
There are many types of aluminum alloy profiles, and in addition to considering common design elements, special design elements should also be taken into account during design;
